wacked out tire question

Ok because i use my bikes to commute besides pure pleasure riding,I am thinking of putting BT020's on my S3 now that the BT-010"s are toast.i am willing to give up a tad of grip for a little better wear, your thoughts?
how about Avon Av45 / Av46 st tires? any one run Avons ?

badges? We don't need no stinking badges.

I had/have BT-020s on my RS. The rear died after 6K, the front is dead at 9K. I'm going with Pirelli Diablos in the spring.

Ever try the Metzler's? MEZ 70's? I think that's the number......good grip, they need to be warmed up a little, and then look out! I've gotten about 2000 miles on mine so far. Hubby has about 6000 miles on his, and they are still going strong.

I'm not mean, you're just a sissy.

I had just put the Avons on my Katana. With about 800 miles on them, I liked the way they felt. Check over at Sport-Touring.net . Everyone over there has nothing but praise for them.

Rumor has it the Diablos are both stickier AND wear longer than the 020s. I figure they are all about the same price, so I'll give them a try. Adam at Road Rash is moving the Diablos like crazy. About $230/set and his mounting charges are very fair ($15/tire, off the bike).
