I call my mechanic, Jason, and say that I need an oil change. He does the rest, and I pay him...............how girlie is that?

I call him MOTO-GOD! My bike loves the way he touches him. I swear! Jason does things to him to make him absolutely purr.

So we take good care of Jason, and love him, and squeeze him, and give him big tips!!!!!!!!

I'm running the official Triumph oil and filter until I'm out of warranty. I know I'm not legally required to do so to keep my warranty, but it's only a few bucks and I'd rather see the dealer make a few dollars than Advance Auto or Walmart.

I change the oil and filter every 3000 miles too. Due for a change now in fact (9000 miles).

EDIT: I do my own oil changes. It still costs about $60 for oil, filter, and crush washer.

yeh.. but it's $100 to have the dealer do it.. i cant imagine having them do it for that.. changing oil is soooo easy and if i can find the equivilent shelf product i would like to buy that if not i'll buy the T4.. i mean if i can do my own oil change for $30 instead of $100 i would much rather do that

As far as filters go i run one of these, oem Triumph,Emgo,(dennis Kirk)or Honda part 15410-mm9-013.
they are all around 8 to 10 bucks.
As far as oil goes you wil pay 10 to 12 bucks for full synth(quart or liter depends on brand) or 5 to 7 for semi.
I run Motul that meets all the guide line specifications in the book but a semi synth grade as I change it twice as often as reccomended.Semi is listed as an approved oil in my manuel.
