Question Speed Triple advice..!

Best Regards Team:

I'm a big fan of the Speed Triple..but is way out of my budget (for
now)..Suddenly I found this GORGEOUS..! (imho) 1996 Speed Triple.
According to the salesman the bike has $10,000 dollars in
upgrades...Carbon Fiber the following: wheels, double slip-ons, front fender, rear hugger & engine covers....The bike sells for $7600 with only 2100 miles, the bike has been sitting at the store for two years..! I really want the bike...! Is this a good deal...? Why the previous owner after putting some serious upgrades sold the bike.....? According to the salesman is a guy with a lot of money and a lot of bikes that just got bored with it...I think is bulls&%^*^...!
Any advice/suggestions are really appreciated...!

Dude, save your money, wait a year and buy a 2001 or 2002 model that's (hopefully) being discounted. I love the new ones, but the older (1996) models don't look at good to me, and they don't have the newer 955 engine. I think it'll be well worth the wait.

More money that dedication/love/intelligence

If that trips your circuits then buy it.

you should be able to find a t-509 sp-3 for low 6$k to high 5's $, I have been tring to sell my 98 red t-509 for about a month, the most I can get on trade is 5700.00, so you shopuld be able to buy one for less then that heavy , under powered 96. those had a high center backbone frame making the bike very top heavy, and the brakes were baaaaaaaad. (I had one ). so you can do better.

p.s. want to buy a mint 98 ?
