speed triple and touring

got a question for the speed triplers out there and of course anybody else that cares to throw in a comment or three feel free anyways has anybody used their bike for touring type rides? if so would you do it again or use a different bike? if yes would you use the bike as you rode it or make a change or two for whatever reason. since triumph updated the engine i've been thinking and wondering and thinking and drooling over the speed triple once again and i love being on the highway and don't mind one bit about being exposed to the elements. let me know 'eh?

You can tour on any bike you fancy. As long as you understand it's limitations, anywhere's possible. My best mate Norman rode a Kawasaki Z200 (single cylinder) from Belfast, down through Scotland and England and on to the south of France. And he was two-up with his girlfriend too.

I've gone touring on everything from a TDR250 Yam, GS1000 Suzuki and everything else I've owned up to the VFR. The only thing I would say is with a un-faired bike, you get a bit tired quicker if the speed is high.

Changes ? I usually find out what I'd like to change when I've got home.
