Post Engine Idling

My 2003 R-6 stalls while Idling. This has happened after I have been riding at least 30 minutes or more. When it occurs there is plenty of fuel (3/4 to full) in the tank. The first time it happened I stopped at a red light. The second time I was at a stop sign and it happen again. The engine started to hesitate then it stopped. I started it back up and twisted the throttle to 2500 rpm. for about a minute. As soon as I let it go back to Idle, it stalled again. I have a BMC air filter and an alluminum GYTR slip on. I added the air filter, the pipe was on when I got the bike. Before I changed the air filter the same thing happened. Has anybody else had this happen? Is it possible that the fuel injection needs to be adjusted since the the stock pipe is no longer on?
