05 R6 Lifters

05 R6... do they have solid lifters or hydraulic lifters? I have hear from two different dealerships, two different answers to that question. I was told that a ticking noise from my R6 were the solid lifters. Then... from a different dealership, I was told that is doesn't have solid, but hydraulic lifters and that noise I am hearing is a tensioner from the chain or transmission area. Any info.? THANKS!

Not familiar with your specific model but I'm not aware of any sportbike with hydraulic lifters. Maybe I'm about to learn something but I doubt it.

I just took my 05 R6 to the dealer last week and asked them about my ticking noise. All they said was that it was normal and bring it in for 1000 mile tune up.

Geez, it seems as if a lot of us are having the ticking noise problem and we all get the same answer. "NORMAL." I hope the dealerships are correct in saying that it is normal.
