minor problem with an 05

Is there supposed to be any play in the handelbars on an 05 r1,when I put my weight on them they move about a quarter of an inch downward.any help would be appreciated.

As far as I know, there should be no play in the handlebars. Make sure the bolt for the clip-on is tightened properly.

I would think you can have the dealerships fix it under warrenty

If there is that much play/looseness in the bars I'm not sure I'd ride it to the dealership.

Some good advice. Have them come out to you, under warranty.

They never put the bolts on that clamp the handelbars on,it worked its way down the fork tube half an inch.
