If you change sprockets, you'll most likely have to change the chain as well. The R6 stock chain is a 532 (WTF?!?!) so unless you order a different sprocket from yamaha you'll have to convert.
BOT, I went 4 up in the rear, and it's a lot quicker. true, the revs go up and the speedo is even less acurate, but WHO CARES!!! I bought it to ride it!!!
1 down in the front and 3 up in the rear will be plenty for one change. Good luck!!
