im wondering if anyone can shed some light?, ive recently purchased a 01 gsxr750, and its still in it's breaking in period (which sucks bad) , my problem is, im coming across allot of bulletins stating "problems with gsxr trannies??" what the**, can someone pls shed some info to this matter as this is the first ive heard of these bikes creating any sort of problems.
pls help!....worried!

two wheels are better than four wheels....but one wheel is better still.

I believe some of them were crapping out second gear and also I think I remember something about the cam chain tensioner.

I have heard that the second gear is due to lack of oiling while riding wheelies. This may be dealer/factory BS to try and avoid warranty repairs.

One of the Gixxer owners will answer this question. Just be patient.

Head on over to Do a search for whatever you're interested in. They have LOTS of stuff about the new gixxer's transmission and cam chain tensioner. Plus they have a hairy palms forum (whatever that means )

It doesn't have to be fun to be "fun".
