Before I go and spend a wad on an Ohlins,Hyperpro,Toby or Scotts dampers,I decided to change the oil in the stock damper to 2.5 weight fork oil from 5 weight(stock).I was told to use synthetic fork oil but could not find any so instead I put in PJ1 high viscosity fork oil.It took me 2 minutes to get the old oil out and 58 minutes to fill it.I`m also polishing it(I got the idea from someone on another board)I started with 220 grit to get the paint and clearcoat off, then used 400 wet,now I`m up to 600 wet with 1000 wet and 1500 wet to go then I finish off with Autosol or Mothers mag polish.I will have to clearcoat it when I`m done as I don`t want keep polishing on a regular basis.
