GSXR tanks

Does anyone know if a 02 GSXR1000 tank will fit a 01 GSXR750? I checked BikeBandit and the tanks have different part numbers, so I don't know if this is something minor like paint scheme or if it is a major difference.

thanks

They are different model numbers, but the diagrams I found look identical. I won't say for sure that they are interchangeable, cause I don't know. But here's the links to both of them. I kept switching back and forth and couldn't really find any differences in the tanks themselves. Maybe somebody else has some info.

Thanks Snakesht. I asked a few guys and some were certain it would fit. The best advice I got from a dealer (who was not 100% certain) was that if I used my stock fuel pump and hoses then there should not be a problem.

I bought the tank. It has a couple of golf ball size dents, so it will be a project to fix over the hot months. I will post some pics of my repair and paint when the time comes.
