03gsxr1k shutting off

Of course my bike just went out of warranty, so now it wants to act up. Heres the problem when I am rolling up on a light preparing to stop it seems when I pull the clutch in and that second before I start to apply the brakes it shuts off at this point it happens no other time, it will start up just fine and runs ok after it happens. i would say 3 out of four times it happens in a stopping situation. Anybody else have this happen. Any info would be great. Also it has about 6k miles on it. Thanks guys, Chris

What happens if you apply brake before you pull clutch in? Does it do it in all gears? Does bike idle ok? When it happens does it just go TKO or does it stumble as it dies? Does headlight stay on?

Check and make sure your kickstand is atying up all the way and holding the switch in fully.

And make sure your tip over switch has not fallen of its mount and hanging in the wrong position.

My 03' gix 1k, the tip over switch would shut the bike off when i did a wheelie, i disasembled the switch, and packed it full of sylicone so that it will stay in the run position, you cannot take the switch out of the loop.

I found out what it was. It turned out to be an idle issue it was at 900 rpm's so as I was told I turned it up to 1250 and it has not done it since. Thanks for the input guys I will save it for future problems. I now love my bike again.
