I found the bike series of my dreams :)

everyone has always been saying, "your better off getting a used, older bike." Right? Well, all of you are in luck. I found those bikes. any of you old school riders remember the RF R series bikes from suzuki? The RF400R, RF600R, and the RF900R. I would just like as much input on costs to buy used and how good were they actually? Do they compare more to the katana line? Should I be expecting something better or worse than a katana? What should I be looking for in this bike for good quality? I figure if they are dirt cheap back then, then I could get one for what? 3 or 4 grand? I could work that up in a few months and be able to withstand insurance costs without someone shoving a big fat plan up my butt with a newer bike. Also, anyone know the top speeds of these bikes? Anyone know where I can find alot of info on these? Oh yeah, and since they are older bikes, would it matter if I got the 900 or should I still stick to the 600?

I think...

For Christ's sake, just get something and ride.

It doesn't have to be fun to be "fun".
