05-08 CBR600 weight difference

i was checking up the specs on the CBR600 from the year 05-08 and notice a huge difference

05 - 361 lbs
06 - 361
07 - 345 lbs
08 - 410 !!!

what happened between those years how did the 08 model gain so much weight?

Didn't they add Anti-skid brakes in 08? I just went by a new Honda dealer the other day and they had a long row of leftover 2009 600RR models! All but 1 were ABS bikes. To me they look hideous with the fully enclosed fairings around the engine too.

Makes me really glad to still own my pristine 2006 600RR. I don't think I will ever get rid of that bike. It's just too right.

people wanted to ride further, faster or both. You want to improve your road race placings or complete a target event such as a time trial, sportive or triathlon in a particular time. You want to train towards these goals in the most efficient way; efficient in terms of time invested, energy expended or progress made in a particular time period.
