ian,

when you put a pipe on your vfr, did you need a remap?

I didn't do the remap after the install, though in hindsight I should have. The bike woke up definitely but it still had a deadspot in the 4-6000 rpm range which I'm sure a PCII or hardmap would have fixed. I've heard they are really helpful on the VFR's.

But it's kinda late now. I will definitely tell whomever buys it that I recommend the remap or PCII.

Why do you ask?

I don't know if it's a pre '00. That might be the difference. I think they went to a different type of fuel injection(with O2 sensors). I don't see why mine would be running right but his wouldn't.

I firmly believe that the PCII is a worthwhile mod. I really wish I had done it.

it can be a difference in altitude, pipe, etc.
