Baba-San is a wonderful man! There's some really cool stuff coming from the Big H. I know it's a cruiser, but that VTX is pretty awesome. And, it looks like the venerable SuperHawk is gonna be around a bit longer...I'm gonna have to talk to my connection at Honda and ask what's up with the misinformation about it being discontinued. Anyway, it looks like my Christmas list is going to be chock-full of expensive choices for the next couple of years! God, I need a bigger garage...and a better stock portfolio. C'mon overtime!!!

Question

I could swear that I heard about a VTR redesign for 2001. I think I read it in one of the bike magazines that it was getting a bigger tank and a smaller engine.

Has anyone else heard anything remotely similar to this, or am I getting my dreams/reality mixed up again?

later,
Eric

it seems the european market receives a bigger tank in their 2001 vtr (5-gallons). the US vtr's still have the same 4.2-gallon peanut shell next year. not too many other changes. the most significant change being the new instrument cluster, which is thinner and includes a multi-function LCD panel. i think the vtr is being marketed as a sport-tourer in europe, while it's pushed more as a performance-oriented bike here in the US. maybe it's because they get more vtr1000sp-1's than we do.
