Question

I'm considering buying either the F4 or the 2000 ZX6r. I was wondering what the Honda dealers are like in the area as I have recently moved here.

Also, what prices should I be expecting from the dealers and if anyone has a recommended route in my neck of the wooods, please advise....?

Thanks..

try www.blackmans.com in pa. they shouldn't be too far from you. they'll be able to give you real answers on each bike you're looking at. very reputable dealer.

I bought my F4 about a month and a half ago from "Tramontin Harley Davidson" in Hope, New Jersey. They're the cheapest honda f4 dealer that I know, my 2000 f4 was on sale for just $7,099. Almost all the others sell them for $7,899. About their reputation.... hmmm... I dunno. I kinda won't rely on them much on tuning hondas since they're a HD specialist, I felt weird when I was parked there with all the HD riders parked looking at me.

I'm bringing my bike to a honda dealer for its 600 mile tune up. Its also too far (it's near PA almost). But I'm telling you, they were selling em cheap!! Their shipping/handling charge is also cheap... around $200.00, some dealers charge up to $600.00 +.

I'm not sure if they still sell Hondas or if they were getting rid of them and to just sell HDs. Just call 411 , ask for their phone number and ask them if they still sell F4s (and if they're still on sale).

The advice I have gotten here is that a dealer gets reimbursed by the manufacturer for freight and prep, so if you pay it, you're getting ripped off.

Hmmm.... I've never heard of a dealer that doesn't charge for shipping/freight here in Northern N.J.

Anyways, all I know is that I bought the cheapest brand new F4 .... , even if you add the $240 freight charge...hehe.
