cbr engine

i have a 1994 cbr 600. what year of engines can i fit in mine? also is there any way to put a 900 or 929 engine in it?

not sure what will fit but if you call a motorcycle salvage yard they should be able to help you

There are a few posts about fitting different sized engines in various bikes here somewhere, try the search function. As I recall, you can make just about any motor fit in another bike. Unless it is a direct bolt-up match though it will be a pain in the ass. Enough so that it probably isn't worth the hassle. That is what I remember from those threads.

The days of the m/cs with a frame & engine plates like HD or most Brit & European convential m/s be they singles to twins to even the rare four (by theat I am saying most of a heavy bicycle frame--well sort of), have been of the past for some yrs like for instance the Honda CBR bikes from '00 & on. For now the engine is part of the frame.

That makes it a bit hard to do a quick or easy switch. Even the 900 & 929 are different in that the swinging arm pivots from the engine on the 929, 954 & 1000.
