Honda's front master cylinder

Why does Honda keep designing their front master cylinder like the hydraulic brakes of the old days? Is there an engineering advantage to this? Because compared to other bikes which uses sort of beaker style container for front brake fluid resevoire, Honda's concept is pain in the ass. The little boxy container is hard to maintain, difficult to tell the fluid level, and on top of it, I have to unscrew all the screws to top of the fluid. Why do they persist on making simple things harder???

My 1KRR has round res. for booth brake & clutch, but then they buggered it up w/ a rectangle rear res. Job securaty @ the parts counter... I've changed out the rear for a round item off a XL.

I think the switched to the plastic resurvuar (sp?) by now, they just did it later than everyone else

Honda uses the square one piece reservoirs connected to the mastercylinder on their slow bikes & a seperate cup style reservoir on their fast ones

nope, the 05 600 is still plagued.
