I have an 01 600 and I installed the adjustable rear lowering link. I measured the amount that I was lowering the rear and then loosened the front fork clamps and slid them up the same amount, I used a caliper to ensure both forks are at the same height. This keeps the bike level fron to rear and it's a really easy job. Just remember to mark the angle of your bars prior to any adjustment or you will have some time spent readjusting the angles to your liking.

Good luck....
