Good price for 2000 Interceptor VFR 800

Newbie here,

One of my best friends has a Interceptor 2000 VFR 800 that he mentioned he was going to trade in on a new bike. It has 6k on it and hasn't ever been wrecked and he takes pretty good care of his toys. What would be a good price for one of these? He said he will give it to me for what they offered him on trade in ~$3600.

Thanks,
Rob

I think that's a pretty fair price. You might check Kelly Blue Book site and see what it says on the bike. I have a 99 which is almost exactly the same. Awesome bike!

That sounds like a pretty sound price, especially if he has taken care of it. VFR owners tend to be older riders, and generally inclined towards taking care of their bikes. You shouldn't face any real maintenance costs (aside from tires and oil) until the 16K valve inspection. As for the model, I have a 2000 and love it.
