Hi bullet23-

You become a member of this forum two days ago so you could start inflammatory threads? You might want to edit your post or you'll pretty much be considered a troll around here.

Looking at his posts I don't see how any of them are inflammatory, but whatever.

To answer the question, no, CBR600's are not gutless. Anyone who told you that probably has a literbike in order to compensate for other, how shall we say, shortcomings. The 600 has plenty of guts, if you know how to ride.

Isn't that all that needs to be said when a bike is called gutless. The rider will always be the great equlizer. My 600 has beaten literbikes and it has been beaten by other 600's and literbikes.

Ido not recall anyone on this site saying a CBR600 was guttless & obviously they are wrong.

Sorry that I cannot give you fuel milage though my '97 Yamaha YZF600r basically on the hwys & going at decent revs will give me around 52mpg. It only need 87 Octane as well so another small saving on cost of fuel.

Obviously it will eat up more when riden in town due to in the lower gears.

Remember all the others on the road are crazy & out to kill you.

Define "gutless"..... compared to what? An F-16 being shot off the deck? A sidewinder missile? Sure. As bikes go, unless you're used to riding on the ragged edge at around 9.75/10ths, it's plenty powerful. I'd hardly call ut "gutless" on a bad day, unless you're lugging it at 2500 RPMs.

Mileage-wise, I get around 36-38 with mixed city and freeway. I don't get on it hard very often though.
