Lightbulb 02 954 vs 03 954

I have an 02 954 with 7200 miles on it.. Dealer said he will give me 6000 for it on trade..
(bought 02 for 6400 with 2200 miles on it a month and a half ago)

He has an 03 954 with i think 1000 miles on it for 7000..

Good trade or not?

Should i just hold off till the winter to see if he will come down?

How much is the 03 worth?

Bluebook says 6000 on the 02 and 6800 on the 03..

Whatcha think? Need opinions..

Do i pay tax on the difference or the amout of the new bike?
Need some help here..

The prices seem good...I just totalled my 02 954 with 6800 miles on it and got $8600 from insurance company. Why get the 03 though, I'm guessing for different color scheme?

Why are you considering changing?
The bike itself didnt change from 02 to 03.

That is what I thought. If mileage is a concern, PM Dad and ask him how long a CBR will last. His has well over 100k at this point I think. If taken care of, they will last a long time.

CBR Swap

So, you are going to pay an extra $1000 to trade one bike for another bike that is exactly the same? (aside from paint/graphics there is no difference between an 02 vs 03) Unless the 03 is in much better condition than your own bike, it doesn't seem like much of a deal to me.

LIKE EVERYONE ELSE SAID WHY CHANGE FROM '02 TO '03
WHEN THEY WERE THE SAME BIKE EXCEPT FOR THE HEAD STEM BEARING REPLACEMENT. '02 HAD TAPERED BEARINGS AND ON THE '03 MODEL THEY WENT BACK TO BALL BEARING SET UP.
