Cbr 929 vs. zx-9

Im thinking about trading my 929 in for a zx-9. I would like some opinions from people that have ridden the both of them. Especially people who have pitted them against each other. What did you like/dislike? Etc.... Thanks..

I wish i have ridden both.

But i have not. Ive sat on both and find the ZX-9 more comfortable. I've seen Kawasaki 900's turn 9.8's-10.8's in the 1/4 mile. Depending on the year, I would imagine the honda would be lighter and handle better, but i don't know for sure.

Muzzy makes a big bore kit for the 900 which makes 160 rearwheel hp. 1100$

I had a 99 ZX9R before my 929. I like the 929 a whole lot more. The 929 has way way better handling and power (plus looks better than the 9R) The 9R is more comfortable, and has that big bike feel, the 929 feels more like a 600.

I like the looks of the 00-02 zx-9 better than my 00 929. I think my 929 is very twitchy and I dont like that. The comfort factor on the zx-9 is a big thing. The 929 is just plain uncomfortable. I am looking for a bike that i can take my girl out on. I was just curious how the 2 measured up. I dont care if the zx is a little slower. I have lucifer himself (GSXR 1000) in the Garage that will absolulty destroy either bike. Plus that Muzzy big bore kit looks like it could be a heck of a lot of fun

Well sence you have the GSXR600, oops I mean the 1000 (it looks like the 600) I'd go with the 9R for what you want to do with it.

My wife sead she loved riding on the back of the 9R, and she hates riding on the back of the 929, it scares the $h it out of her.

If you use it more for street rydn I would advice for the 01-02ZX9R
its very comfortable once you bonded to it.
I am waiting to see if the ZX10R is any good other wise i would go for the big bore kit off season, it will bump up the 899cc to 998cc
