Well I am in San Antonio, TX and we are if anything hotter but just as humid as you are. I do run the 36 up front and 42 in the back. I got over 6000 miles on my stock tires with no problem. I never had a problem with the tires not sticking until the very end where my rear tire was starting to have a flat spot in the middle.
A good general rule to tire pressure is to keep it at about 33 to 35 in the front and rear on sport bikes. Your tires will stick to the road best. Always check your tire pressure, though, because it can fluctuate with the temperature!
