F2 cuts out

Anyone have this problem- Last weekend at PIR going into the back stretch if I didnt whack the throttle, just rolled it on, the bike would shutter and miss like it was time to switch to reserve. Sometimes if I didnt really whack it or if I short shifted between 4th and 5th, it wouldnt rev past 11.5K. I checked the plugs, all the fuel lines, flushed the tank (It was clean) pulled apart the shut off valve and float bowls. Everything looks good. Any Ideas? Thankx. Don.

Same problem on my bike.

Occoasionally I was getting stutters on my cbr 900 rr and there was someone else with the same problem. For both of us it turned out to be a loose battery terminal. So check it to see if they are both tight.

I've had a very similar problem. Mine was a combo of several things though.
- tank venting. Check the vents and clean them.
- Fuel pump. check the contacts for corrosion and clean them if necessary.
- and im not sure if the f2's petcock is vacume, but if it is make sure it is not jacked up.

Thumbs up f2 cuts out

Hi, Mark from uk here,
had that problem with mine and found it was the breather pipe under the tank that had a kink in it after a rebuild. Just lift the tank slightly and straighten the hose. Hopefully this will cure it!
Just a suggestion(hope it works)
