Talking Performance numbers.

I do not understand the stupidity of people when it comes to performance numbers....IE my dick is bigger than yours because of horsepower. People "Squids" read motorcycle magazines and think that if they buy that machine then they will be the coolest. They do not understand that the numbers they see were done by a 98lb soaking wet..professional..at sea level..with racing slicks..on a prepared track..with 93 octane premium gas.. and a fat line of cocaine just before the run... oh and the trials are sponsored by the manufacturers themselves.
Those of us that live in the real world know that a 200lb rider, in Colorado or other high elevation area, with 91 octane gasahol, on street rubber...will not run a 10.2 in the 1/4 mile on a Gsxr-750.
The performance difference between all sport bikes..600's-Full liter Superbikes is measured in a few seconds to even 10ths of seconds in back to back comparisons on race tracks. This is my advise to all the squids out there.

Stop measuring your manhood by the size of the motorcyle between your legs.

My favorite saying is:

I agree completely. While it is fun to bench race with others a little, it seems that only true car guys or bike enthusiasts know that magazine tests don't mean a whole lot. Anybody in the know would say just as Robert did, and tell you that the driver acounts for a lot of a machines performance. As we all know, most of our bikes are capable of more than we can put them through, even in street trim.
