What size spark plug socket do I need?

Adjusting my valves, just got the cover off and realized I don't have a small spark plug socket. What size do I need? It's for an '88 CBR 600 if that helps but I'd guess that most bikes are the same.

Either 16mm or 18mm. In the mid-80s, most Hondas used 12mm plugs, which take an 18mm socket, but by the mid-90s many had changed to 10s, which take a 16mm socket.

I believe that if the NGK spark plug designation begins with a C (e.g., CR9EH9) it requires a 16. If it begins with a D (DPR8EA-9), you'll need an 18.

If you're looking for a really nice spark plug socket, I've found them both at Kowa Tools and at Griots Garage. Your Snap-On rep can help you, too.
