F3 Oil Level

I am checking the oil level in the ole' F3 and have run into a problem. Which marks should I use on the dipstick (I am so stupid). The picture in the manual looks nothing like my dipstick. Should it be between the 2 lines that have "MAL" written in between? I thought this was it, but MAL means bad so whats the deal? Should it be between the upper mark (towards the cap) and the indented part? Please help, I am stupid like I said

proper oil level is considered to be between the two marks. don't worry about MAL--who knows what that is for

don't overfill. enough is good, more is not better
