I have read all the forums about wheelies, and clutching up the lower powered bikes. My 95 ZX6R will NOT do a wheelie in 2nd gear. In first, it's hard to keep the front down, but in second, I'll rev the hell out it, dump the clutch, pull hard on the bars and the bike just shoots forward. It's not even close, how could this be.

Maybe you're not pulling the clutch in at the correct RPM's..

I got my ZXR 400 to lift after pulling in the clutch in second gear at high RPM's...

it's all about technique...

I use to try the clutch in 2nd, but I only managed doing a rolling burnout for several feet. I am unsure about the 6R having enough hp, maybe your going too fast for the rpm that you are trying to clutch. If you can do a wheelie by chopping the throttle around 7k in 1st, then try to speed shift to 2nd. I am not great at wheelies, but a good excuse is the power!
