A 190 tire is still going to make it turn in slower. Lots of guys go from a 190 rear tire on their 1000's to a 180 when they race them. A 180/55 tire is actually a little bit larger diameter than a 190/50. They are also designed for different wheel widths, so depending on the particular construction of the 190 tire, you could actually end up with a narrower tire if you put it on a wheel designed for a 180. It honestly doesn't give you any street cred to use an inappropriate larger tire on your bike.
