Is a ZX7 a good first bike?

I am looking at buying a 93-95 ZX7 as my first bike, is this a good choice? Thanks

It is a little big and heavy for a first bike, but you will probably be okay on it. A 97 ZX7R was my first bike. I crashed the piss out of it, but I am still here.

Have you taken an MSF class?

Well I picked up a nice 95 for $1500. I will take the MSF in the Spring before I'll start riding it.

Who cares about you? How did the bike fare in those crashes?

riding the 7 and love it. The fact that it's heavy and stable makes it a good bike to learn on. Plus I won't tame it in a few months like a 250 or 500.
