Hey,
Just getting into the wonderful world of Sport bikes. I would prefer a 600 but may settle for a 750.

What I would like to know is that I really like the looks of a 97 ZX7R with the dual round headlights and the ram air ducts right outside them. What years did these all come on?? Any ZX6R's have this look too??

the 1993-1995 zx7 had dual round lights and one ram air duct on the left side. the 1996-2000 zx7r has the dual 'cat-eye' headlights, with the ram air snorkels on each side. there's no pint in trying to get these fairings on a 600, especially since the ram air is routed through the frame.

no production kawi 6 shares this look. the 97-2000 gsxr600 does have dual headlights and ram air on both sides. and it's way lighter than the zx7's. just a thought.

mine is a 750 though, with the 600 you can still get the dual lights (the 750 has two lights, but only one light is on on low beam) and slightly different ram air ducts. they are also cheap since magazines don't rate them high.

as for me minding, no, i love seeing perfect.

I also really love the looks of the Gixxer, probably top of my list, its just that I plan to do a lot of longer rides on my time off and from what I have heard is that the Gixxers are more of a race bike than anything. I like the idea that last months sport rider mag said the gsx-r750 will take most of the bigger bikes, R1 riders, take that! But then again I could have the looks I want on a 600!
