Question zz 1100d Carburator Questions

I am adapting a set of 1996-7 KAWASAKI ZX1100D carbs to a 1.9 L 16 valve 4 cil car engine. It is not impossible and has been done before.

I nned to know more information on the carbs, if anyone has any info please chip in !

-How much fuel pres do the carbs need to run ??

-Where can I get a rebuild kit ? Extra jets, tuning guides, blow up diagram ect.

Thanks for the help !

Very low fuel pressure, the only reason the bike has a fuel pump is because the carbs are mounted higher than most of the gas in the tank. Might be best to get a fuel pump from the bike itself. I don't remember if it's vacuum-operated or electric, think it's electric.

A Haynes or Clymer manual may provide an exploded view of the carbs - but they're really very simple, and if you have sufficient mechanical ability to mount them to a car, you'll be able tounderstand them from examination of the disassembled parts.

Jets should be at any bike dealer - rebuild kits can be difficult to find, and rather costly.

Wish I could tell you more - hope this helps..
