Question Are Spacers needed for Rear Turn Signals

Hi,
I have a 2005 ZZR 600 (Same as 2002 ZX6R). I want to install smaller rear turn signals. I still have the factory signals. I'm going to purchase the Motrax arrow long stem signals.

All I want to do is remove the big orange lights and place smaller amber lights in their place.

Can anyone tell me if spacers are usually needed for the rear turn signals?

i used similar turn signals on my gixxer...i used washers to space them enough so they could be seen completly....looks fine though cause the license plate covers the washers
