Ran ZX 10R on Dyno this weekend

I took the bike in to the shop for an oil change.

They begged me to run it on the Dyno, free of charge.

With 300 miles on the clock ( I do not think the motor is loose yet)

We ran it.

150.2 HP from around 10,5 - 12,5

Pretty flat curve.

To compare they pulled up a stock 2003 R1

It pulled a 148.1 HP

I was a bit dissapointed as the butt dyno was telling me 155 HP +

I am going to get the Power Commander and Full Muzzy Exhaust and see what that does.

Oh well 150.2 is still a tone of power.

I would be pissed too if the 03 R1 had only 2 less HP.

The funny thing is that every magazine claimed so far 160+ for the ZX-10R so what Dyno are they using? Is it the same one you used?

Anyway, great looking bike man enjoy

Are they saying 160+ rear wheel or at the crank? Either way, that's a crapload more power than I'll even need!

Kawasaki claims 180 crank with ram-air. Not that 150 RWHP would be too far off from claimed. But that 03 R1 running 148? WOW. That seems like alot. In fact thats 10 above the best stock dyno I've seen.

Server is slow today.

That figure for the R1 seems way off. That doesn't seem right, if that R1 is stock. The figure for the 10R seems about right, maybe down by about 5-8 hp, but close enough. That R1 had to be modified to make that kind of #. Did you maybe mean an 04 R1?

Every Dyno is different. This one that the shop has looks a bit beat up to me. That is why comparing the runs to other bikes or other uns on the same bike is the only thing you can really do with a dyno.

They said the 03 R1 was totally stock.
They could have been wrong.
I am not able to verify the info as I have not seen the R1 myself.

Bottom line is my bike pulled a 150.2 stock.

I am going to get a new exhaust and power commander and see what is says then.
