The current Zx7 was realesed in 96 and is discontinued as far as I know. There may be some new ones left in the dealers and you can get great deals on them (bout the same price as an SV650S at my Kwaka shop)

On my website http://www.geocities.com/webzxr go to the "History and specs" page where you'll find pics and specs.

There is also a gallery ordered by model

cheers,

Andy

P.S. In Europe '89 to '95 ZX7s were called ZXR750 and ZX7Rs were ZXR750R.

also, the zx7 from 89-92 had side vents by the two round headlights (up and over). 93-95, they went to one next to the two round headlight (but it did something). from 96-on they had two vents with two "cat-eye" headlights and became the zx7r. prior to that the zx7r was the more race oriented version of the zx7 and the race-oriented ones became zx7rr's.

the race-oriented ones had flat-slide, al tanks and close ratio transmissions that made their street lives a pure hell.

they were all 750cc's.

the webpage above is good at showing them. but doesn't have the best looking one made, the 93 us-spec red zx7. black gloss frame, wine-colored body, nice. very nice.

ZX-7Rs

I used to have a web site here at Sportbike World but it seems to have disappeared....If it ever comes back ( http://trak.to/delzx7r )
then you`ll be able to find out all about the 7R from there!
