If they discontinue the 9, they will piss me off.

If they destroy the wonderful ergonomics of the current 9 like that RACK pictured, I dont want it either
Why cant they just maybe lighten it a bit, update the look somewhat like the new 6 and throw in a few pounds of torque AND LEAVE THE ERGOS ALONE

At 1st I thought the ZX10R rumors were cool and what a kickass bike it will be. Then I realized the best feature of the 9 would be lost...ergos. I'm with you on this one. There is another "rack" in the near future.

Bikes are just making some major changes like they pretty much do every 5 yrs or so. Unfortunately light and powerful is where everyone is headed and Kawi is pointing in that direction too now I guess. Wait till it comes out... then see if you like it. You may be nicely surprised. As for the 9R, I bet they'll keep selling it for a bit 'cause they knwo that we like the ergos and style. But for how long it'll stick around who knows.

I think the thing is ugly as sin right now but if it rides unbelievably I'd ride it.

I love the looks of the new ZX6RR and if the ZX10RR is anything like that picture I'll be very happy.

I have never been too hot on the ZX6/9R looks. They are nice bikes, but they don'tdo it for me (Just personal taste I guess). But I still reckon that Kawasaki would be shooting themselves in the foot if they discontinued the current zx9R. My guess is that the new ZX10RR will appeal to current ZX7R owners more than to ZX9 owners so it would make sense to have both.

Hell I like it... and I'm not a Kawi fan. Owned to many and broke too many. I think they are trying to be competetive again. Although that may not be Kawis nitche.

I agree I ride the ZX7 and I like the looks of the bike in the pic, they just need to add the ZX10RR to the collection of Kawasaki.

Wasn't there another pic before? One of a 9r that was painted silver and had minor adjustments, was that to be the next 10 R.
