Question 120/70 front tire for zx6r?

I was wondering if anyone has used this size front tire on there zx6r. If so, did you notice any change in handling? Did the tire rub on the fender?

I have a 120/70 on my 6R. I dont know if it changed the handling or not though since it was on the bike when I got it.

Cool

Just do it! my zx6r is 99 it came with 120-60 f & 170 - 60 b. I'm now running 120-70 f & 180-55 b. The 70 will not rub with 207rr,
pilot street, or pirelli race sc. Front end fills alot better lean over.

TAKE NOTE Tire size will change the way your bike handles.
Suspension adjustments for correct ride height.

IMHO the people at Kawi spent a lot of time figuring out the correct size of tires to put on the bike. I regret changing the rear size to 180 on my bike. I can't wait to wear the tire out of hit a nail to put a 170 back on it.

I went from the 65 to 70 then back to the 65, I personally like the 165 better. but then the suspension was not adjusted for the change to 170 anyway so that could probably fix the issue.

The use of the 120/70 for the front is the standard use for the majority of road racers racing on the modern machines ('94 to current).

Hope This Helps!

P.S. On my "E", which is used mainly for drag racing.........I prefer the 120/60. But for the road coarse definitely the 120/70!

one local races with 70 ratio aspect, adn did pretty decent time. Since its a common fittment for most performance bike, shouldnt be a problem, but u may wanna filddle with the bike geometery alittle to offset for the increase in fork height
