Contact the tire manufacturer and ask him what the racing pressures are for the tire you are running. You will want less pressure than you do for normal riding, most likely in the 28-32 psi range. Anything less than 24psi is asking to have the bead of the tire come off.
A tire with less pressure will warm up faster, and wear quicker. The tire temperature is just as important as the carcass flex, so make sure your tire is properly warmed up before you start, drag your front brakes slightly for about a block or so, that should do the trick.
