front wont come up

Not really looking to spend the majority of my riding time busting one wheel, but I would like to at least be comfortable with it.

However I can NOT get the wheel up on my R6. It can get real light, but only once or twice has it actually come up on me. I'm probably riding too far forward out of chickenshit tendencies, but even when I consciously move farther back I just can't get it to come off the ground, even under max throttle.

Nothing wrong with the bike either, I've had it dyno'd recently and its got no problems, pushing 105 hp at the wheel.

I'm a pretty big guy, 5'10 and 200 pounds, but everyone I talk to says that really shouldnt affect it so much. Whats the deal?

Keep practicing. Sit as upright as possible. Start with the throttle then once you get used to the sensation switch to clutch

I ride the same bike, and it will definately wheelie. you just gotta keep practicing. Do a search for tips, then ask some specific ?s as you try to get the idea.
