cutting down exhaust

SO I wanted to shorten my yosh slip on. I was told all you do is drill out the rivets cut it down, and re rivet. but I had 2 questions 1. it is a carbon exhaust, and Im afraid I will splinter the fiber yes no? 2. never taken one appart, but I assume there is a pipe inside how is it attached to the back cone? what do I do with it. just dont want to screw my exhaust.

Go Fast!!!

!. spinter yes but when you put the tip on it should cover it 2. some have a baffer in them some are just striaght through

My point 1. It will affect your sound. A high high pitch. It will be annoying. 2. Don't forget back pressure and performance. 3. It will be easyer to buy a short pipe made for it.

I had a friend that did that to his pipe(not yoshi) and he ended up just buying one.
