Lockhart-Phillips bad customer service

I ordered the carbon wrap frame sliders from Lockhart-Phillips and after getting the run around about how I wasn't a dealer (then why is it so easy to get a catalog, but that's another issue) they took the order and gave me a shipment date. The parts arrive 5 days late and one of the plastic sliders had the wrong size holes tapped in the end to secure the aluminum end caps. One was M5 to match the supplied screws, but the other was tapped to M4. I call Lockhart-Phillips and speak to "Nick" who was not very helpful. He offered to let me ship it back to them at their cost and replace it, but I already drilled and tapped the holes to the correct size (after much ribbing from the Hardley riders in the machine shop) so I had the correct product in my hand as opposed to getting correct (hopefully) product from them in 2 weeks. What I wanted was some restitution, a free t-shirt or a complimentary set of color end caps or something. "Nick" told me that it is "not our policy to give free merchandise to customers to placate them." Yeah well, it's not my policy to order product from companies with no regard to customer satisfaction. Has anybody had any issues with LP or am I the only one? After that incident I have no desire to deal with them ever again.

Lockhart is right across the street from me. Want me to run over and run in the warehouse and do a "dash and run" with a few T-Shirts for ya?

That would be a good set of company rivalry pranks to start. Fieldsheer snaggin' LP stuff, LP snaggin' Fieldsheer stuff. Hilarity ensues.

They have a lot more people working there (and a bigger building).

But I still think we could kick their asses.
