I put one on my VTR under the seat by the tool kit at around 6K miles. Its now got about 24K miles on the original sprockets and chain which are not worn much. I use s100 spray on cleaner and a garden hose once a week to clean the rear wheel. Thats all I do for chain maintenence except refill the oil once a month. The chain and rear sprocket always look clean and shiny because of the continual slow creeping of oil. The best part is no hand lubing or cleaning the chain.
