New rear sprocket for 01 ZX6R

I'm thinking about getting a new sprocket for my 01 ninja ZX6R... What should I look for? How much will it affect my top speed? And most importantly, where can I get a cheap one from??? Do I have to get a new chain?

I just did the 520 conversion on mine Saturday and went up 3 teeth in the rear. the whole conversion cost about $160

If you go up three in the rear you will need to get a new chain as you'll need a couple of extra links to make up for the slack.

www.sprocketspecialists.com is my suggestion for all your sprocket needs. Good prices, awesome service!

As far as the speed, going up 3 in the rear will decrease your top end by about 7 mph, but will give you a significant increase in the low end punch. Even in 6th the bike gets up and moves now with the change in ratio. (Which is probably why I got to talk to Officer friendly on Sunday )

Well worth the money in my book
