Exclamation Help

My '97 Duc is in need of help. The bike runs great, but is not producing the power it used to and it's making a popping sound when I first start to accelerate. I thought that it might be the sprockets and chain or maybe the clutch, but I'm not a mechanic. Any ideas of what it could be? I really hope that it isn't anything to do with the gears. Any info welcome. Thanks

Popping sound from where? Sounds like you got carb issues, air/fuel.

It sounds like it's coming from the lower left side. Somewhere around the front sprocket, but it did sound like it backfired today.
