Question 998 Muffler Mods

Has anyone done any mods/coring to there stock mufflers on a 998? Can you do this without upsetting the fuel mixture? I plan on getting the Termi's and ECU from Ducati in a few months but I would like more sound until them.
Any ideas?
Mike

Mike, check out:

http://www.ducatipipemod.com

The site owner is a guy named Strati, and he does this mod VERY affordably. He can also give you a link to a location where he walks you thru doing it yourself. Good guy, and offering a good service to the Ducati community. Check it out, sounds like just what you're looking for.

For what it's worth........I think the stock pipes on the 998 are made by Termignoni.

My tombstone will read: "It seemed like a good idea at the time."

Unhappy Not positive but my guess would be...

I'm not positive but my guess would be that if you cored your stock pipes you would still need the new ECU. If you look in Ducati's Engine Accessories catalog you'll see that even the 45mm slip-on Termig's come with the ECU. I was told today that some of the Termig exhaust kits aren't even available yet. I want to order the 45/50 half system with the ECU and it's not available yet.
