Cannister be gone!

OK, it's time to take the charcoal cannister off the wife's 2000 M900ie, since we don't have to have them here in AZ, right? Has anyone done it? Looks like two hoses go to the intake tracts, one goes to the tank and another is open-ended. Should I just pull it all off and plug up the intakes with appropriate bolt/plugs, or what? Does the tank still need to vent somewhere other than the overflow?

Here's a link to a site that describes the process for an M750. Should be just about the same for your 900:

Found the same site about 2 days ago and did the removal today. It came out great and only took an hour or so. Nice clean look now. Thanks scratch.
