Question

I am seriously considering financing one of these. What should be a fair or good price?? Interest rate?
Thanks in advance everyone.

This your first bike I assume? You don't need a new bike to start on, and you definately don't need a new 600cc 100hp GSXR to start on either. Look used and look small. That's my advice.

Be fore warned the GSXR series is one, if not THE, most expensive motorcycles to insure. Right up there with the Yamaha R6/R1.

The best quote I got on my own was $2500! I had my mother insure my 01 GSXR 600 for $806! That's full coverage.

I am totally with cabbage on this one. I would get a used bike in good condition. I got a used bike 4 years ago that was about 4-5 years old, and I lost a total of $400 when I sold it 2 years later. Pick up a cycle trader and save a buttload. That way, when you lay it over (asuming that this is your first bike) at a stop sign you are not so insanely angry. Just angry. Your biggest chance to dump a bike is your first year. Why make it more expensive than it has to be? I am not saying that everyone falls.....but things happen. I learned very quickly when I bought my CBR, but I still dumped it a few times before I got home. I also wish that I had started out on something a little smaller now. I can scrape pegs on my R6, (but not consistently) and I am still thinking of getting a smaller bike so that I can practice and get all of my stupidity out on a smaller bike. Again, if you buy it used, you don't have to lose much money on it. AND, if you do dump it, you are not shelling out the same cash as you would be for a true sportbike.

I may be full of crap, but at least I am consistent.
