Fast Lane is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by WWE. It will take place on February 22, 2015 at the http://www.wwefastlane2015.com
FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee. It will be the first WWE Fast Lane event, replacing the Elimination Chamber event.
Fast Lane will feature professional wrestling matches that involve wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that play out on WWE television. Wrestlers will portray heroes or villains as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.
On January 26, it was announced on WWE.com that Triple H challenged Sting to a “face-to-face confrontation” at the event.
On January 25 during the Royal Rumble post-show, Rusev interrupted John Cena while he was speaking to Tom Phillips. On January 26, it was announced on WWE.com that Rusev would face Cena at the event.
WWE has created a new PPV title for the February slot in-between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania – “Fast Lane.”
The title is tied to the annual “Road to WrestleMania” theme as a replacement for the Elimination Chamber PPV.
The FedEx Forum in Memphis sent out an email noting the new PPV, which is set for February 22. Tickets go on-sale to the general public on Saturday and a pre-sale is scheduled for Friday.
The official description straight from WWE’s marketing department reads: “Fans can ‘feel the thrill’ of the first ever ‘Fast Lane’ pay-per-view event on the road to WrestleMania 31 with their favorite Superstars including: John Cena, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, The Divas, and many more. The wrestling card is subject to change.”
